The Shram Suvidha Portal (registration.shramsuvidha.gov.in) is a unified online platform by the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India. It simplifies compliance for businesses by providing:

  • One-time registration under multiple labour laws.

  • Single-window return filing.

  • Unique Labour Identification Number (LIN) for each establishment.

1️⃣ Account Creation on Shram Suvidha Portal

  1. Visit Shram Suvidha Portal.

  2. Click Sign Up.

  3. Fill in details:

    • Name

    • Email ID

    • Mobile number

    • Password and Captcha

  4. Verify with OTP (sent to mobile/email).

  5. Login using your User ID & Password.


2️⃣ Getting Labour Identification Number (LIN)

  • LIN = Unique ID for every establishment.

  • To obtain or check:

    1. Log in → click “Know Your LIN”.

    2. Search with establishment details (PAN, CIN, or other identifiers).

    3. If not available, apply for a new LIN by submitting establishment information.


3️⃣ Registration Under Labour Acts

Once logged in, choose Registration → New Registration.

Acts Covered:

  • EPF & ESIC

  • CLRA (Contract Labour)

  • ISMW (Inter-State Migrant Workmen)

  • BOCW (Building & Other Construction Workers)

Steps:

  1. Select the applicable act (e.g., EPF, ESIC, CLRA).

  2. Fill multi-tab form:

    • Employer Details (Name, designation, contact)

    • Establishment Details (PAN, sector, NIC code, address)

    • Manager Details (supervisor/authorized person)

    • Work Details (type of work, no. of workers)

    • Attachments (ID proof, address proof, etc.)

  3. Save draft or continue filling.

  4. Upload documents in PDF format.

  5. Submit → e-Sign with Aadhaar OTP.

  6. Pay fees online (if applicable).

  7. Download Acknowledgement.

  8. After approval, download your Registration Certificate.


4️⃣ Filing Returns on Shram Suvidha

There are two types of returns:

(A) Returns for EPF/ESIC

  1. Go to e-Return.

  2. Select EPFO / ESIC.

  3. Fill required monthly/quarterly details.

  4. Upload employee contribution details.

  5. Submit and download acknowledgement.


(B) Annual Returns for CLC(C) (Labour Commissioner)

Covers Acts like:

  • Minimum Wages Act

  • Payment of Wages Act

  • Maternity Benefit Act

  • BOCW Act

  • ISMW Act

  • Payment of Bonus Act

  • Industrial Disputes Act

Steps:

  1. Go to File Annual Return → Select CLC(C).

  2. Choose Year & Form (A–M depending on Act).

  3. Fill details: establishment info, employees, wages, working hours, benefits.

  4. Submit → system generates a filled PDF.

  5. Print → get it signed manually.

  6. Scan and upload signed PDF back to portal.

  7. Download final acknowledgement.


(C) Annual Returns for DGMS (Mines & Factories)

Steps:

  1. Go to File Annual Return → Select DGMS.

  2. Choose Year.

  3. Fill Form A (General) and Form B (Accidents, employment, safety).

  4. Submit → acknowledgement generated.

  5. Download report for records.
